if you are pleased with your fabric choices, it isn't very professional of the instructor to dis them. Same thing happened to me when I was doing a sampler. One of my first quilts. She only wanted us to use 3 fabrics, and I wanted more. Quilt came out fine. NICE JOB, BY THE WAY!

Your colors are wonderful. One of the best things about quilting, you don't have to listen to what someone else likes, it's all about your choices. Keep going!
