This year, it's just my hubby and I. I said "no" to the kids coming over and after a couple of days of sulking, they were fine with that. I toned down the dinner considerably, since it's just the 2 of us. No sweet potatoes, no pumpkin pie, simplified dressing recipe, no appetizers, no tipsy people trying to divert my attention. It's much easier this year...although I do miss the kids.

The apple pie is out of the oven. It is all sparkly and brown from the egg wash and sprinkling of sugar. Biscuit dough is made and in the fridge. Brussels Sprouts are on a tray in the fridge too. Dressing is made and ready to be reheated. Turkey is thawed and ready to go into the oven. Cranberries are made. Potatoes need to be cooked and salad needs to be made. That's it!

I hope that everyone has a lovely holiday, no matter how big, or how small.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks aashley333 for that chocolate banana bread recipe. We always have bananas in the freezer, waiting to be made into something. I'll have to try this.
