Would you consider posting what fabrics you chose? I also am looking forward to this BOM.

I have chosen a darker off white floral print for the background and plan to use a variety of scraps for this quilt. I want to shop my stash, so the end result will definitely be multicolored.

    Default potential color scheme

Potential color scheme for my 12-block Optimism quilt.

I am looking to substituting a darker blue (bordering on navy) for the med blue for more contrast.

Close-up of border 3 fabric, the pics don't do it justice (more vibrant irl).

Enough avoiding of holiday cooking & gift wrapping for me.

    Happy holidays all!

Okay, here’s mine so far! I did the thing where I found a border fabric and picked fabrics that will go. Also, I’m going to be a little outside the box and use black for the background and brighter colors for the patterns. Might be terrible, might be fantastic!

Well, I keep trying to add the picture, but I can’t. I’ve tried taking a picture with my iPad, I’ve tried taking a picture and then doing a screenshot of it, I’ve tried going from Google Photos, I’ve tried adding with the “Manage Attachments” function, but I can’t get the photo here. Sorry, and I’m open to suggestions and to being directed to some instructions on how to make this happen.

    Default Alternate color scheme

Quossum, I love your fabrics! And what better theme than cows...

I'm considering a higher contrast color scheme like such...

And I really should get back to cooking and wrapping, LOL.

All great fabric choices, but I have to say I'm partial to DPendleton's first choice, but I like bright colours. Both will make a wonderful quilt.
Quossum - your fabrics are great! And I like your choice of dark for the background.

    Merry Christmas, everyone!

Oh gosh, I’m loving the brights, and you can’t go wrong with blue and yellow!

I’m happy to do anything to force me to dip into the FQ bin, just hope it doesn’t turn out TOO random! lol
