Wow what we do to get a design board! It is a necessity!

I just stick pinned the back of an old blanket to the wall and it works just fine. When I take it down, cheap white toothpaste fills in the holes.(Old college trick)

I have 2 of the foam boards from Home Depot. One I left 4X8' with a 2' extension to make it 6' x 8'. The other I made 6'x6'. I just lean them up against the wall because I like to use both sides and I can move them from room to room if I need to. Also, I use pins, not flannel because I sandwich my quilts on my boards so I don't have to get down on the floor, and I don't pin my quilts to the flannel.

Yes, that is what I did...hangs very nicely, but I did put another longer rod on the bottom to keep it 'down'.
Great Idea!!! hadn't thought of that. I have a spring rod that fits the door casing of my sewing room's double door closet with clippy type rings from which a white flannel sheet hangs.

I stapled felt covered foam insulation sheets to my wall. You can't see the staple holes at all. It's lightweight and easy to remove.

Just think----whatever you can save by being innovative, gives you more to spend on FABRIC.

I had the same problem. Works well for a short time then loses the sticky. You are suppose to spray a small amount of water to reactivate, didn't work. I tried to use it with an intricate quilt. Needless to say after swearing my husband asked if I ate with that mouth.
