    Take a bow!
It is using Bias strips, my first try at this method, much easier than it looks
That's not saying much since it looks incredibly difficult to me, lol. I am very impressed with how even everything is. Beautiful work!

Not sure if anyone else needs to see what is meant by a flange, so here is the link I followed to watch a U-Tube video. http://www.quiltbug.com/articles/borders.htm

This reminds me of very fancy Victorian quilts which leave room for lots of cross hatching in the quilting, so you might consider leaving a fairly large white area before adding your next border.

With such a great start you can't go wrong!

Your work is just exquisite!! What is the technique called? This is definitely something I would love to learn how to do! Please post pictures as it progresses.

Beautiful work, I think your plan sounds awesome, please post pics when it is done.

This just a great quilt. Thanks for the video on how to work with a flange. Very helpful. But that quilt is just sooo beautiful.

That is beautiful, your ideas sound like it will be beautiful when finished. I liked the idea of a small border of red to accent the center. I hope you will send a photo when its done.

Did you use a pattern? Your work is stunning. I would love to see a close-up of the bias. I would love to try to make something like this.

I also like the idea of a flange...but consider a color other than red...perhaps black. It would really highlight your amazing work.
