You know if everyone in our home would pick up after themselves, our house wouldnt be to bad.I can live with doing laundry and cooking and dishes, but I;m tired of picking up after everyone.Guess we;ll have a dirty house cause mama;s got better things to do.[QUILTING]

When hubby retired, I announced he WOULD learn to run all appliances and how to do basic cooking, cleaning --etc. Said I might just die before he does and he probably couldn't find another woman who would do everything, so might as well learn how, now. Have to admit he was a good sport about it. Only thing I can't get through is cleaning the bathroom. grin. OK I don't relish doing that room either, BUT it does have to be done.
After 10 years he does really good and will cook some, vacuum and always folds laundry and will feed himself when I am elbow deep in a project.

I am training the 7 year old to do it all, including clean the chimney. He does find it a bit frightening on the roof, but he seems to really enjoy sliding down the chimney.

My husband asked me to marry him when I was sitting on the floor in the middle of a quilting project - so he KNEW what he was in for! :)
