It is a wonderful gift. My sitter took on the task teaching her 4 year old charges to quilt. She borrowed a hand crank machine from the local quilt shop. The kids loved it. Unfortunately, the machine 'jammed' before they finished their blocks. They finished up on her machine. Now my son thinks he can quilt on my machine!

I have one like this or similar to it. I got it from a PEO sister who had it in her garage for years and her hubby was tired of working around it and asked her to get rid of it. She is not sure where it came from. I had to go to a lock smith to find a key to open it and I was stunned to see how beautiful she is. Lots of gorgeous red design and in great running shape. Wonderful sons. Beautiful machine. I also have a hand crank. I've never used it, but should just to say I did. My brother would be doing a happy dance if I called to say this is what we bought Mom. :lol:

You are truly fortunate to have such loving sons.
You also reminded me that my Grandmother's sewing machine is now to be mine. I need to bring it back next time I get back home. One of my aunts said her daughter should have it; but it has always been promised to me. Thanks for reminding me before something happens to it.

Her wooden house has one small very shallow scratch on one side, but for an 85 year old lady she is beautiful to her new mommy. She has her original decals all in good condition. Someone special must have really loved her before she entered into an estate sale. Now she has been adopted into a loving home where she will be cherished for years to come.
