I love my and 1/4 ruler. I use it with paper piecing and it makes it really easy for me. I think is worth the money plus more.

I just took a paper piecing class and that was on the supply list. Works Great! What is the 1/8" one used for? I haven't come accross anything calling for an 1/8" measure, but I am still new to this.

I don't have one. But I use a great trick I learned on Simply Quilts over 10 years ago (can't remember which quilter taught this)... Rubberband two pencils together, then use them to trace your pattern or template. Cut on the outside line, and you will have a 1/4" allowance. (People are So clever!)

If you are a paper piecer, they are invaluable. I just used it this past weekend at my annual quilting retreat and I love it!! Had never heard of them until a year ago when one of my friends who is a fantastic paper piecer taught me how to use it.

Like everyone else here...I use it when I trim in paper piecing...but you can trim without it as well. That is the only time I have used mine, but for that it really is the Bomb!
