ok...so can one use it on any ruler...not just the ones you use on a long arm? If so, seems this might be a great way for me to help my young daughters learn to cut with ruler and rotary without the slip....

I use Invisa grip-a rubbery plastic type grip. You get a oarge roll and can cut it to the size you need. It strethes and sticks to the back of the ruler to prevent sliding. A little goes a long way.
I use Invisa-grip- a rubbery type plastic that come in a roll so you cut just the amount you need. I is easy to pull off if you don't want it on any more. A little goes a long way and can stretch to fit the ruler.

Sorry, QuilterChick, you missed it! MQX is the Machine Quilters' Exposition, which is held in April of each year (one session on the east coast, and one on the west coast). This was the second year of a five-year stint at the RI Convention Center. You can put yourself on their e-mail list at www.mqxshow.com to get advance notice of next year's happenings.

I'm trying this out. I have some of the sandpaper dots and they do block your view. And I've scratched some of my other rulers when they were stacked under the ones with the sandpaper or hung behind the sandpaper ones on my pegboard.
I have Invisigrip on one ruler and it still slips for me.
