Used to be Grandma's House. It was the company more than the food, but the food was great.

We try to avoid the chain restaurants (high priced fast food) We have found some great locally owned places where the food isn't taken out of the freezer, zapped in the micro and served with a sprig of parlsey! One of my kids worked in a Red Lobster kitchen and always said"you don't want to eat there!"

I love to eat at home. My husband makes lunch for us every day! Since I love to cook (almost as much as quilting), being in the kitchen is always a pleasure for me.

[quote=Doreen]For burgers, it is "five guys" We recently got one in our city. The Little hamburgern is njust nright.[/quote

I agree with you and was so glad the first time I was at a 5 Guys that I ordered the little one, more than enough for me. Enjoyed the peanuts and the fries in the paper bag.

Like most of you gals I prefer to eat at home but eating out is a treat. We always bring some home to enjoy the next day for lunch or dinner - great as I don't have to plan and/or cook for the next day. We've been lucky to receive many gift cards to local and chain restaurants and we space them out throughout the year for maximum enjoyment. For Christmas I gave DH some to a local restaurant that he likes, that way we both can enjoy his gift, LOL! May in Jersey

Same here---home! We both cook. I hate getting dressed to go out and waiting on a table and the food. Quicker, cheaper and usually tastier at home.

Sometimes we do enjoy going to the mtns of GA and finding a "hole in the wall" for a lunch!

Closest anything to me is at least 25 minuts away and then that is just your basic fast food.So needless to say eating out is a couple times a year treat and then it is usually a steak place like longhorn. We usually go for christmas and anniversary as anything other than fast food is about an hours drive away.
