A big pat on the back for his parents and a round of applause for this young man.
    I love him already.

Those are great quilts! You have to be very proud of him. And he looks so pleased with himself too.

Your son did a great job. I think many times kids are happy when they know why they are the way they are. My oldest son suffered from temperture induced siezures when he was little. He could just have a 100 degree temp and within seconds it would go to 400 and he'd have a siezure. I had to keep phenabarbatol (not spelled right) on hand at all times and if he got the slightest fever I had to give him the meds. Thankfully after several years he grew out of it. Sometime after he was a full grown adult I found out that this medication caused learning difficulties in kids. When I told him, he thanked me. He said he always thought he was dumb because he had to work so hard at learning things and now he knows there was a reason; it made him so happy. I never knew he felt that way and he did get decent grades in school but I'm glad that I found out and shared this with him. God bless you and your journey with your son. I love to see kids excell in a craft; I have a few that are great at drawing so every Christmas I'd get them art supplies. I hope you share with your son the wonderful comments from this board. The boy has a talent for quilt making; from what I've seen of your quilting, it must run in the family.
