Welcome to the board! Sorry to hear of your father's passing, but I am glad you have kept some of his shirts. My DMIL passed away in March and I kept some of her shirts to make memory quilts for her sons. There are lots of ways to make a memory quilt...some people make teh quilts toataly from teh shirt material and others add some pictures to the quilt. Try a search for memory quilts and see if anything you find is what you would like to make.

I made one from shirts for a friends mother using her fathers shits, using graph paper arrange squares and half square triangles into a big heart shape. I used the colored shirts for the heart and whites and lights for the background. Turned out lap size they loved ot.

My brother was diagnosed with terminal cancer last september and he lost a lot of weight. He donated 15 cotton shirts to me and I made him a quilt from them. i did post it on the board but have no idea how to make a link. He loved the quilt and used it. Sadly he died on Monday but his partner has said she will treasure the quilt.
If you go onto my page you will find the post. Welcome to the board.
