The machine seems to work really well, but it is missing the zigzag foot, so haven't been able to see how well it sews a straight seam, blind stitch, etc. The guy at the SA said they had tried it out. How? No bobbin in it, no foot on it. Lol, that some have been some interesting try out.

I have the zipper foot, the button hole foot, satin stitch foot, oh...guess I do have a straight stitch foot. Well, still need that zigzag foot.

I think I made a very good deal for my $14.99, lol.

I also got a Kenmore a while back. cabinet, bobbins, and feet and a ton of needles for $10.00. It is a model 117-959. It is a 1947. Sews like a charm just need the manual. I thought a good buy.

My second machine was a Kenmore I don't the number but it had a great overcase stitch. I still have it. I had it repair two time. It get out of line and breaks needles. Did allot sewing on it.

i bought my kenmore in 1988. i'm still using it. i've cleaned it once. it weighs 800lbs* and has 100 stitches, makes buttonholes, and loves me nearly as much as my dh, and probably more than my dk's. i don't know what i'd do with out it, and if it ever dies, so will i. she replaced my viking that left with some dopehead who broke into my home. i loved that viking, too, but if she'll walk off with just anyone, i'm better off without her. i know my kenmore will stay, it's too heavy for anyone to steal. Never have i had a problem!! enjoy yours!!
* maybe not really 800 lbs, but it's solid steel construction, and feels that heavy when you try to move it!
