I got the fabric and pattern from Keepsake Quilting. It's a quilt kit using the Garden Twist Anniversary fabric. Sharon Yenter's Garden Twist prints. I'm making a lap quilt for my mother-in-law for Christmas. Once I'm finished I'll post a picture.

It looks to me like the triangles you are using are not the right size. If you are using 2 1/2 inch for the trells, you need to make the squares bigger to compensat for the diagonal seam. I think it is 7/8 inch you add to the squares or strips that you cut in half for the triangles.

I thought that too, but that was the size the pattern said to use. But, I've pretty much got it under control now. I'm using the pinning advice and some other tips from above and its going together better but I'll remember to try an add some and see how it goes next time.
