I wouldn't think of it as a Granny quilt either, but that's what my DIL called it so that became it's name. LOL!

All machine pieced. I try my best to do no hand work unless absolutely necessary. For the QAYG, I sandwiched the 64 square block with batting/backing and then used walking foot to stitch the crosshatch lines on every other square.

I think I probably broke every rule in the book (and a few that aren't). I wouldn't want any of you who really know what you're doing to look at this quilt too closely.

I find that I like working small... This wasn't a project to work on exclusively until finished, but it was my go-to between other projects. That's one of the reaons it took so long. And parts of it were BORING ( the hand work to finish it particularly). I really had to force myself to work on that part.

It is gorgeous! I've participated is some 1 1/2" swaps, but all I've made from them is doll quilts. I know i'll never finish a larger size!

I just put the finish date. Since this was more a part-time/fill-in project, it was 2 years of full time working on it.

Thank you for all the nice comments. It does feel good to finish something and have others like it too.
