I have one machine NOT In a case - I think it just has really bad breath or something - ew it smells. It has been cleaned so it is coming from the inside of the machine somewhere - come spring it is going in the sun

My daughter has a fw with the same smell. I have used Irish Spring soap for other mildew concerns. Also heard the use of deodorant soap left in a closed case, without the machine, is useful.
The use of Barbicide can help, but itself has a lingering and strange smell. Bright sunlight is probably the best and low-cost for sure. Mildew is the enemy alright.
