If it were mine, I would definitely redo the long sides, no hesitation about it. The dead stop of the dark flat edge is too abrupt for me; it stops all motion cold instead of letting it flow smoothly off the sides.

However, since it's yours, and not mine, only you can decide what to do. Don't settle, make it look the way you want it to look. There's too little in life that we truly have control over; our quilts should be one of those few exceptions.

The quilt looks great! If it were me, I would leave as is .....it's your own spin on the pattern. .but then again, I am a free spirit as long as I have points! Lol

My personal preference would be to make it all the same. The corner stones look a little odd as it is.

It all depends. Will you be looking at it every day? Does it bother you THAT much?

Now mind you, I don't have OCD.....not professionally diagnosed by a licensed physician. However, I would need to correct it. Good luck with what you decide to do.

What Dunster said. I too really like the effect of the sides with the geese reversed and would match the top and bottom to it. But that is me and what I would do if this was MY quilt. But it is not my quilt, it is yours. If it is going to bug you, rip and redo but if not, leave it. Lovely sampler BTW.

Personally, I like it the way it is. Unless it really, really bothers you, I would not change a thing. By the way, you did an outstanding job making that quilt. I love it!

Like how the geese on the sides frame the top, would just change the top and bottom sets to finish the frame. Very pretty quilt

I would leave it also. It's just a matter of preference. I did some wrong on an Xmas tree quilt but left them. and that was long, long ago.

I like it as it is - the differing borders just add interest and do not detract from the overall quilt. Lovely job!

That is how I feel as well...like them better flying towards the center...almost gives it another border that way. If it was me I would fix it
