No, I did not piece it was a small sample of fabric that I found in the remnant bin at a shop that deals mostly with decorator fabrics. I fell in love with it and I just did a simple pattern with boxed corners and followed a few different blogs and Youtube videos and added a recessed zipper on the top. I had found a bag at a garage sale for $1.00 that had the chain and other nce hardware on it. I thought the chain was perfect for this bag. I have a few more pieces of upholstery fabric that I found there with different designs. I am still trying to decide what to do with them.

It looks great and with the upholstery fabric it should wear beautifully. I love the beads on the zipper pull, nice touch. Your quilting is so cute echoing the flower on your bag.

Very cute. This past week the winner on Project Runway used upholstry fabric to make a long coat over the top of a long black dress that was to show case these very expensive, gorgeous jewels. It was fantastic and like I said she won.

Great idea to buy a bag for the hardware and make your own creation!
