Glad you liked the colors. I went ahead and took and re-posted a new picture since the previous one was fuzzy. At least now you can see the pattern in the fabric. Also, I think if I tighten the stitches I can eliminate the comma problem (will try that on the next one), and I notice that the right hand and left hand portions of the blocks turn out slightly different in size, no doubt it's my sewing skills. Just another thing to pay attention to when building blocks of any kind. It's so fun to do these because I learn something new each time. Cool beans!

Whew! Thought it was my eyes there at first. LOL

I love the fabrics you used. Not much room for improvement there Steve. It looks really good from where I'm standing. You do have an eye for color. And texture as well!

Another good one Steve! Love the color combos & glad you're figuring things out as you practice with all your neat stars. I hope you put a quilt together with all these stars you're making!!

I decided to make stars of one size (ten inch) so that later on I can put them together for a quilt. Why not? Sure they're practice pieces, but waste not, want not. I wonder if I should have stayed to one color scheme?

Not necessarily. Put them all together & take a photo & see how they look. Maybe that will give you direction for the color of your next stars. Sampler quilts can have mixed blocks & you can try to bring in some of the same colors in some of the other blocks. Your stars should definately be put into a quilt...they really are gorgeous!

Very Stunning Block :D :D Your color choice on this block is awesome! I am soooo envious  Another excellent Block :D :D :D

As far as sticking to the same color scheme, I think you are doing really well so far, hope you do not mind :) You have coordinating colors in both blocks and this is only 2!

If only I had enough left of the fat quarters! I might just pick up enough material to do a larger piece and continue with practice stars. I love your design though, it's amazing what can be done.
