Thanks Chele:
I'm so VISUAL that now that the quilt top is done I see where my best laid plan now looks like huge mistakes in the layout. I really wish I had done it with the split background triangles all going the same direction so they formed a row of white and a row of blue or that all of the white were in one direction. Oh! well, I leaned something else! Lay it out, take a picture and put it on the screen and see where the uglies are!

That's not a mistake. No! Not at all!!
I have to admit when I first looked at your project I wondered why you hadn't put the whites in a nice row but on further inspection I like what you have done. Your placement of the triangles give the project lots of movement and the eye just bounces trying to see it all. It sparkles! Just like a star!! I really do like it just the way it is!

Yvonne, you are soooooooo kind. Thank you for trying to make me feel better about my layout. I'll be happy just knowing even if I don't like the layout someone will have some nice, warm comfy cuddles in it on these cold, wet winter nights.
Merry Christmas,

I finished a quilt for a friends birthday (Dec 21st) that was 12 different colored friendship blocks on a black background, then used black sashing in between my rows, made the stars look like they were floating. Will try to find a picture, or take one when I see her next week and post it.

I went back and made the BOM for my BOM blue quilt. I decided to make 9, 4" squares so that they would make the 12" block I am using in my quilt when put together. Fun, easy block to make. I think that I will make a baby quilt out of this block that will look like my finished block, but be 36" x 36".

and just what part of this are we supposed to believe that you're not good at? I don't see what makes you say that and besides nobody does it right the first time every time. We hone our skills with each block we do. Sometimes I turn one out that you'd think the dog did most of the sewing and sometimes I get one that makes me secretly puff up a bit!
