All are welcome to come for a quilting day, I have one in the frame , and I could use some hand quilters

I just came out because bw intimidates me so      I find it funny that anyone would care where I live  Not too many want to come to the boonies. And I don't know where my angel lives, and don't want to know, never look at the mailing mark, it is more fun not knowing. But I can see where the newbies would be a bit confused. I just think it is all in fun and not to be taken so seriously.

You're right - it is very funny. That said, I have to agree that I like seeing where people are from. It's very interesting to meet people from all over the world and possibly learn a little about their culture. That gives the whole thing a very friendly feel. Otherwise, it's a group of strangers afraid to let anyone know what state or country they live in. As for "hiding" your identity from your SQA - does it really matter? And do people really have so little to do that they look at the postmark and then go through the user list to see who might have sent the gift? Sure, we can all try little tactics to throw the recipient off track, but if our identity is discovered, is it really such a big deal? We're friends, sending other friends love and gifts - plain and simple.
No it doesn't matter in the least. It's just plain fun....that is all.....LOL! I just think it is so funny that some are having a real problem, it seems, with it. LOL! Sorry if I offended those people........gee whiz.....I'll return to my closet (giggle).

Butterflywing, I agree with you! I'm from NYC originally, and for the past 8 years have called central Va my home. I go to the Mid-Atlantic Quilt show in Hampton every year, over 1.5 hours away, and I have to wonder....how many of you live in my backyard?? We have 3 hopping quilt stores that are (well, not local by NY standards) within 25 miles, and yet, I know only about 15 women who quilt....
I think some of them MUST be here on this board....
Now, Chesterfield is even a silly location for me, as the darned county is so large and I live in the bottom most corner that they seem to want to ignore, LOL But here I am!

I was a newbie, and I still put my home town!!! And whether or not I posted my home town or not, I generally don't mail from my town anyways! Especially since our mail goes through Downtown Chicago, which adds a few days... where as if I mail from the next town over or something they go through I different town for their headquarters. So it doesn't really matter what I put!!! lol

I am new at the whole quilting thing and I'm working on getting better! This is one of those lifetime hobbies that I plan on keeping for life cause it is so relaxing... but sometimes is very frustrating!
