    I miter the corners of the binding using a nifty "Binding Miter Tool" that I bought at a quilt show 10 years ago for $6. It miters both sides of the corner at the same time.

    Irene, can you explain "press under the binding"? How wide do you cut the binding strips? When I do 2.5" I can fold it to the other side, but there's not enough to press any under. And do you have any tricks for keeping the stitching in the ditch on both sides?

    Question; how do you miter the corners when sewing to the front? My corners never look good.

    I keep procasternating over this . i have only ever did this twice. on my one and only quilt 20 years ago, and made a baby towel for my greatgrandbaby last year.
