    Find out the size of the room boxes.

    Most of the time doll houses are made in one inch to
    12 inches real house. That way everything will seem to
    belong together. A little math will help here in making
    such things for different projects.

    Ramona - yes I was aware of that scale. The reason I'm not sure is because 3 by 4 would be about a twin size and 4 by 5 would be more of a full size.....since I'm not sure what he will do with it, that is my struggle.

    I am in the same boat. Almost all of my fabric is from tag sales and thrift stores.
    It is amazing what peaple donate. I will say in the past five years ,Green is the most donated,then purples. Rarely white.
    I also cut up clothes.
    Use what you have, I find that it makes me more creative.
