Your quilts are just wonderful. I have lots of old quilts that are very dear to me and not many are labeled. I recognize so many of the fabrics in yours that are in mine. Thank you for sharing. I get very homesick for relatives who made these beauties, don't you?

Love that old quilts are rescued by someone who treasures the work that went into them. I always wonder why the original family doesnt keep them.

Hi Margie: I always feel sad when I find "orphan" quilts. I have one main regret about my quilts: When my grandfather moved to a care facility, there was a vintage crazy quilt in his belongings. I was not at his home at the time when things were getting divided out and sold, and I have no idea where or to whom it went. 30 yrs. later, I still mourn the loss of that piece of family heritage.
Thanks for your interest in old quilts. I feel they are like reading a history book. Penny (pgthom)

Oh, how fortunate you are to have something like this to bring out and admire from time to time.

Those are lovely antique quilts. I have one from my great grandmother that is at least 100 years old. It is so nice to have that type of quilt in our family. I'll post a pic of it soon.

Thank you so much for sharing, they are all beautiful. I am like others and wonder where they have traveled and the stories behind them. Love them and can't wait for more.
