Just got my pattern out this morning. Looks so hard, guess I just have to jump in and get started. Need 2 one for a gift and one for me. ANY hints?

Love your colors. I've had about half dozen people offer to by mine. They didn't like the price though. I said I would make it for $40. I didn't think that was too high consider all the materials that go into it. Then there's the l-a-b-o-r! They don't know what that means.

I was thinking solid red, white, blue, this is beautiful.

Got the hint... but am not going to bite/

The first time I read the pattern I was worried, but after I read it a few more times, it began to become clearer. Try this tutorial if you're stumped. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-55016-1.htm

Sorry for my random remark in my last post. I thought your "Any hints" comment was a joking "hint" that I could send you mine so you only had one left to make. I reread your post afterwards and realized you actually were looking for real hints. Whoops! LOL

Hint... don't over-quilt it. It adds a lot of time, but is not necessary for the look of the bag. Someone else recommended completing one section of the bag at a time. I didn't do this (because I followed the pattern step by step), but in hindsight it would have made more sense and probably would have gone quicker.
