Mine too! So practical and helpful. I love the introduction...she blames her 3 boys for her addiction to quilting ...because they grew up and left home! As a mother of 3 grown boys, I can relate!

The complete guide by fons and Porter is the best book on the market for the "how to." Almost every technique that you are looking for is in this book. This was an excellent purchase which i would advise everyone to get. The book that I have made the most quilts from is Marsha McCloskey block party. Her blocks are really fun and she gives you a lot to choose from. this was a nice question.

It's my favorite too. Great go-to book for the basics.

I love whatever book I'm using at the time, but my very favorites have to be Mary Ellen Hopkins "Its OK If You Sit On My Quilt Book" and Ellen Pahl's "The Quilters Ultimate Visual Guide From A to Z".

My favorite quilting book is, "Quilter's Complete Guide" by
Marianne Fons & Liz Porter. It has clear instructions and lots of photos, also charts for all sorts of triangle sizes that are quick pieced.

My most useful book is "The Artof Classic Quiltmaking" By Harriet Hargrave and Sharyn Craig(2000). It is my quilting reference book, for when I can't remember how to do something. MY favorite pattern book is "Fat quarter Fun" by Karen Snyder(2007). She is a friend of my sister in law. My first pattern book was "Irish Chains" by Eleanor Burns. I hope this helps you and any other newby.
