The vacations sound wonderful. DH and I are going Memorial Day weekend to Lancaster shopping for fabric. In July we are going to Chincoteague Virginia for a few days. Our major vacation is in October to The Outer Banks of North Carolina. We rent a house on the beach, total relaxation!

We'll be going to the front yard on ours. DH has/is down in MS working the tornado and leaves the end of the week from there to work the floods so he'll be all "traveled out" by the time he gets home

When my sister and I were little, my mom used to take us on vacation at the Cape for years. We stayed in the Dennisport/Harwichport area. I now have friends who have houses in Eastham and get to go there every once in a while. I have such wonderful memories of the Cape from when I was a child and still make them now. We went to Provincetown last summer - I just love the white picket fences with flowers all around them and McMillan Wharf is always fun to walk on. The sunsets at the Cape are some of the most beautiful anywhere!

Planning road trip to Country Living Fair, Stone Mountain Park, Atlanta in October. Went last year and had a great time. Love driving thru the smokey mountains in the fall, beautiful!

We live in a vacation destination, so the answer is HOME! We can walk to the ocean beach or to the fishing pier in the other direction or take our boat out if we're in the mood for a short trip. Plus there is always so much to do in the summer with the garden. Happy to go on day trips.

Let's see. We leave the day after the Atlanta QB get together 5/30 for Salem Va for Natural Bus. From there it's to Almonte, Ontario, Canada for Busfusion, then we will drive around Canada after staying with some friends in Almonte, down to Vt for West River Westies (and this yr we remembered to order river tubing tubes of our very own) and then we will swing by NC for High Country Bus festival.

Don't y'all wish you owned a VW bus so you could come with us???? Actually if you live close to any of these events there is always some visiting traffic...swing by and say hello. Home again beginning of Aug. It always takes me a week to open our junk mail and throw it all out ;)

DeneK, DH is a Mass native, I lived there for over 20 +yrs, are you coming to the ATL get together , we can talk about it then.
