A thirteen year old friend and myself jumped up and down in front of the doors to an office block, hoping the electronic door - opener would recognise that someone wanted to come in and thus open. That was until a man walked up to the door and pushed it open...

A few yrs back my dear mother-in-law had to bring in her camera to be developped ...you know the ones that are disposable. My daughter went along to drive her . Thy were waiting in line the drop the camera at the counter and my MIL starts laughing uncontrollably....took her a while to be able to tell the clerk and my DD that she had brought in her remote control for the t.v. instead.......sometimes it is better to just stay in bed! :D

Oh yea, been there.
I used to draft and proof patterns by making a block. I was cussin one rather complex block when my brother walked by. Why, he asked, don't you cut out paper to the finished size? Duh! Busted by a non-quilter.

My grandmother used to pull up to the restaurant's drive-through speaker and place her order. Being thrifty, she used coupons often.
She'd hold the coupons up and show them to the speaker, apparently thinking the order-taker could see them.
Bless her heart. :)
She passed away last year, at the age of 88. I miss her so much.
