Seriously? I've got to check this out. If he's the founder, he's probably long dead by now (?). Going to do my research - thanks.

"Ingvar Kamprad gave a detailed account back in 1994 about what he describes as his 'youthful sins' and the 'biggest mistake of his life', apologizing and asking for forgiveness from all parties involved. The IKEA he created is based on democratic principles and embraces a multicultural society." Okay, this is what I found and what I copied is, in my opinion, most important information to be passed on. Mr. Kamprad was barely 17 when he joined a Swiss Nazi Youth Party and feels it is 'the biggest mistake of (his) life'. At such a young age, we all make mistakes. He was only involved for 7 years.

That may be so, but the manuals are super easy to follow. I just assembled a kitchen island with my daughter yesterday and tomorrow we are buying her a Karlstad sofa for her new apartment. Wonderful quality at super reasonable pricing!!

I usually stay away as you have to build everything.

In early August, I visited with my sis in Orlando. The Ikea is about 8 minutes away and their fabric department was wonderful!! ENJOY!

They have a great assortment. When we go to Orlando this fall I'm planning on making a trip there no matter what - granted I shudder at the thought of Orlando's tax rate...
