Oooops. I have been all wrong. I just put on what ever side I happen to grab first. Never knew there was a rule about it. But then again I am always the last to know something.

Only if you can't live with it. Hey, you may be a trend setter. By next year everyone will be doing their borders this way.

It doesn't make any difference which way to do them. I've seen them done, and done them, both ways.

I've done it everyway, even like a log cabin block. Not always on purpose though. Whatever, as long as it's done!

There are no rules when your sewing for yourself. If your entering something to be judged..Yes. But to just be Loved and used. No rules. =) This is how I roll..otherwise I'd never get anything done. =)

Oh no here comes the quilting police!!! Just kidding. There's no set rule as long as you put them on correctly. Recommend pin from the center of the border out, then sew.

I was told in a quilting class(and some day I want to sit down to see whether this is true)that putting the side borders on first saves fabric; appearance-wise, I don't think it matters.

If there's a rule I didn't know it. I've broken it MANY times if there is. :D
