It sure seems that there are quite a few of us in the same boat. I had everything planned down to when things were going to get done. I might make it--just have 3 more quits to finish, and then to bind all of them. My husband suggested starting in the summer. We shall see---but when it is 100+ outside who wants to work on a hot quilt? Oh well I'm glad I'm in good company.

I didn't even put myself through the stress of making a quilting project or gift for Christmas this year. I knew I could never get it done anyway. Sure saves on the wine also!!!! Ha!

My gully gee, I heard it here in Pa. but I am with you all the way, All I wanted to do was make a beautiful lap throw for a dear friend at work, so I started it near Thanksgiving, well 18 hours later, I am wondering if I'll make it for Christmas eve. Keep your chin up girlfriend, turn on some relaxing music and just keep at it. Your only human, not a machine, you need rest, food, and good support. God Bless.

Well I see that I'm in good company. Why do we do this to ourselves??? Are we just gluttons for punishment?? But I must say our hearts are in the right place?

It must be made of strong brick or cement what with all of us hitting it and it's still standing. lol. Yup, I'm all for starting early in 2012 to get them made.

One would think I could get a few pot holders and a simple table runner done but it is not happening so I cannot imagine making several items as many of you are doing. Good luck!

I know the feeling - I am there too. I have three more I would like to get quilted but may not get all done. Too many other little things - small gifts for in-laws and great grandchildren, FIL in hospital again with dehydration, clutch in our diesel truck gave out. . but we will get through it all. FIL should go home today, truck should be fixed by tomorrow and we will do as much as we can. The Lord never gives us more than we can handle.

Amen to that, but we seem to give ourselves more than we can handle, but it's all worth it on Christmas day when they open the lovely gifts we give them! And prayers to your FIL
