I just bought a queen roll of my usual Soft & Bright from Craft E Corner and got a great Black Friday deal. The roll before this one I bought from Walmart and the 2 rolls before that I got from Amazon, but yes, the Amazon price bounces around like crazy so if you see what you want for a good price then snag it asap. I get tons of sewing stuff for great prices on Amazon but batting lately has been much cheaper at Walmart and other places.

Since I do almost all of my quilting for charity, I buy directly from Hobbs under their charity program. I also get Warm Company's Soft and Bright at Joann's when it is 60% off. And of course, there are garage and estate sales.

I have purchased a 40 yard roll from joann.com, and also from Joann.com. Do an internet search to find the lowest price.

I scored big time on a 40 yd. bolt of W&N around February or March when I had a 70% off batting by the yard coupon on the Joann app, plus an additional rebate on Ibotta for 10% off any purchase.

I use W&N because my kids prefer all natural fibers. I only find the flecks to be a problem if I am using a really thin light fabric, so now I am more careful when I buy my whites/lights and make sure to get a decent quality.

Just about all the LA in my area buy from Marshall's Dry Goods. Hobbs 80/20 on a big roll. Marshall's has a lot of different ones but Hobbs seems to be the favorite. The rough airy poly is awful, what is that stuff used for anyway?

You don't have to have a tax number to buy wholesale, just have to buy from a rep there, not the shop. Pick a rep and call. He/she will be your rep for anything wholesale from the store and who you will call to order anything or who you will buy from at the store. You can buy from the store too but it's all cut yardage.

Marshall's Dry Goods Wholesale seems to have the best price but you have to order 2 rolls to optimize shipping. I also buy wholesale from Linda's Electric Quilters, but you have to have a tax exempt certificate to buy from her. My rep at Marshall's is James Kelly and he is fantastic.

I order the batting for my church group from jet.com which is part of Walmart. It works well for the donation quilts.

I buy Warm and White from Amazon. I don't recall what it cost, but I got a 40 yard roll last time for the same price I paid from Hobby Lobby, with the coupon. That was about 3 months ago. I like ordering from Amazon because I am on the Prime thing and it comes in two days with no additional shipping cost.
