that is funny. If DH is with me, he sits in the car! (with his word find book)! I came walking into the house after work Wednesday with a huge sack of fabric, his response? "I see you are hoarding again"!

Really, I ask you "do I hoard fabric"? I don't know what would ever make him think that!
After 38 yrs of marriage, we are still good!

my girlfriend and i both quilt, so we are in it together! sometimes the Voice Of Reason rears it's ugly head, other times we have the potential to get into trouble. and, since we share the storage space, all fabric is out in the open. no hiding anything around here! but, we can blame each other for buying too much even though we did it together!

My hubby does not like to go, so I don't ask. He would much rather stay home, and when he heads to the M/C shop, I stay home. Works for us.

If my DH offered to come into any sort of fabric shop I'd be looking for the tornado heading our way. Either that or I'd know it was the 12th of Never. I usually show him what I buy and he gives me a very generous allowance. His motto is "if it makes you happy, just do it. He'll sometimes say that I could start my own LQS but it's just a joke.

My hubby finds the chairs around the pattern books and is soon fast asleep. I just listen for the snoring or watch people point and giggle and tip toe past to know where he is. He's a happy camper and then I am too.

I just remind my husband that I am not spending his money, I have my own money.

No punishment for my husband because he is an enabler who finds more fabric for me to buy!

We have been married 35 years, he doesn't come with me to the fabric shop and I don't go to the fishing/hunting store with him. I know what I can spend and so does he, so we look at these trips as our "me" time. Works for us!
