Will fabric prices go up higher?

I'm sure it will go up on price, but like anything else - food, clothing, cars...- some folks will be able to afford more than others. So I expect there will always be a demand for "high quality" fabric, even though it will be expensive. Maybe massive stashes may be placed with carefully thought out purchases. Or not.

I stopped at a LQS on my way home from a Dr appt because it was on the way....need one yard of Moda black to finish a project. I about keeled over when the clerk said $12.65 (gasp). But I need it so I paid the price but you can bet it will be the "last" time!! Minimum wage in Michigan is $7.40 per hour.

Thousands of Bolts and only one Nut has the best prices. Anthology Fabrics Chromatic Batiks, These Badkins are just beautiful for only 6.95yd they have Moda solids for 4.99yd check them out if you haven't already shipping amount is spot on and fast 2 days from PA. to CA They have Anthology Fabrics Chromatic Batiks for 6.95yd amazingly beautiful, I had never bought any before because of the price of Batiks. 11.00yd what a rip off. I love this place. They have swatch charts for sale also.

I have learned to find online sales and discount online quilt shops. I have no connection to this shop, but use it often. www.quiltfabriccloseouts.com They have good fabric, excellent service and great prices. As time goes by, their selection is increasing also.

Carol, I know the feeling. I would have to move, too, as there is NO more room in this house for fabric, no matter where I try to put it.
I went to a quilt show today. There were a lot of nice vendors, most offering fat quarters or kits, and I, being on a strict budget, did not buy any. I also didn't buy any notions, pattern, or books. I only bought my ticket to get in.

Don't forget fabric.com - I get most of my fabric from them. Thousands of Bolts doesn't do a great job with their pictures of the fabric. :-( They say it's because they are small and don't have the resources fabric.com has.
