i am happy to know my mess is so much like the ones posted here. I think it's an indication of a creative mind at work. When we have the mess it's a byproduct of the project(s) we are working on. My sewing room is the same as these. and my mom always had a room that looked like these. Once my sister and I decided to "clean" the sewing room as a surprise for mom. Years later she told us she couldn't find anything for weeks. Now I understand what we did to her!! At the time she thanked us though!

Oh, my - wait until I show my husband and daughter some of these pictures. Ha.
By the way - you know the saying:

MESSY ROOMS HAVE THE MOST CREATIVE PEOPLE.

I don't know when I'm going to start getting creative tho' but I'm half way there with the messy room

OMG, glad my DH didn't see that one. I had to school him in the affliction of fabricholicism. He had the nerve to suggest I was a hoarder. He was absolutely joking and realized the err of his ways when I started rattling off all the "tools" gathering dust in his garage.

Oh, I feel so much better to know there are so many other gals out there just like me! Wait til I tell my daughter, who is a minimalist and would love to get her hands on my sewing room! You've made my day all of you so thank you very much. Now I can hold my head high, stand up really straight knowing I'm not alone.

Of course you are not alone, I say as I stand up straight with you. :-) I would be willing to bet that over 70 % of us have 'cluttered' or not very neat sewing rooms rather than neat and tidy. As for me, I feel cozy when I am in mine, surrounded by all those possibilities. If I don't hit the trash can with the strings, who cares. I vacuum up when I am finished. My kids do say that they will hate cleaning out my sewing room worst, when I have gone. I say to them..well, I told you life wasn't fair! :-)
