My top is still waiting attention! I'm sure there are still more people in process than will admit it.
Bonnie usually specifies what overall pattern she uses -- I would have to look it up. I just remember some sort of swirly thing...
Her quilts are so busy and so many seams, I find that picking some sort of grid and using the Serpentine stitch works really well to hold them together, is quick and easy. I think fancy quilting would get lost... but that's just me and this (and previous) projects.

I didn't save any photos of FMQ on this quilt, but I agree with Iceblossom, that piecing on Bonnie's quilts is so busy that any custom work would not show very much. I've been sending quilts out for quilting due to back issues, and am glad I finally came to terms with doing that. So I would say, either do something simple yourself, or look into sending out.

Just checking in with everybody -- because my sewing group was already teasing me about whether I will be doing the mystery this year.
Of course I will! I'm sort of hoping and prepared to use black as a background, but if I don't think that will work, maybe the civil war collection will...
Feel free to comment in here, whether for upcoming, "this" year, or previous

I'm glad you will be doing the mystery, Iceblossom. Do you plan to host (you do a great job!)?
Given that I'm still working on Indigo Way, and gathered up all of my Old Town pieces into a tote to finish later, and have an unlimited number of planned and in progress projects, I'm hoping I'll be able to resist joining in doing the mystery this year (although I would certainly continue to enjoy following along and would save the clues). But I've never been able to resist jumping in, so we'll see. The way the time flies, it will be here before we know it!

Hosting this is an easy enough task. I get so much more out of the project by the participation of others than I would otherwise get. So yeah, I'm in, I'll host... and no comments on whether I'll get any of my unfinished BH Mystery tops quilted by the end of the year... I think I have 3 now, Rhododendron Path, Indigo Way, and Old Town. They are, however, finished tops
I do go in thinking I will try to do all stash. I try to be open to what clues she may give for my selections.

I plan to participate this year. I bought a fq stack. It has pink, purple and maroon colors. This year I want to make a full size quilt. I’m not sure about this. I also bought 9 yards of sky background fabric with different colors of stars. The star colors are red, orange, torques, green, purple, blue and yellow. Maybe I can combine color groups to get to the usually 3 colors. Like combine my orange and yellow together, and pink and red together, blue and purple together, and green and torques colors together. So I have a few possibilities. Now to get back to finishing up 2024’s Old Town top. Happy sewing everyone. I still have 4 months to decide before the sewing mystery begins.

It’s finally finished!!
I posted about it here.
The thought of quilting it myself has been giving me a stomach ache for months, so for the first time ever, I sent it out to be long-armed by Sundance Quilting.
I bound it myself.
Since the longarming was expensive, I didn’t want to spend more money on a purchased backing, but also didn’t have an appropriate length of material to use. So I pieced a Franken-backing using orphan blocks from this and other projects.
I’m glad I made this quilt.
I’m glad it’s over.
I don’t plan to do it again!!
The first clue dropped on the day my granddaughter was born. I’m glad I finished it before she took her first steps.
Thanks to everyone in this group for all the support 💕.

well done Diva! I've got mysteries out of my system, but loved the ones I did, and following along with what goes on here.
My next new adventeure in quilting is a rag quilt. can you believe I've never made one? With accuquilt rag dies though, no way I could ever clip one these days.
