Thanks for sharing this, I am always so terrified to quilt my tops, and it takes forever for me to decide what to do.Originally Posted by paintmejudy
Wanted to share how I quilted this top. I ran a diagonal from corner to corner, following down the middle of one of the pink squares line. Put the guide on the walking foot at 1-1/4" and did all the rows, only one way. Didn't go back and make the 90 degree cross hatch. I do like the way it looks. I used scraps from my last two wool batt quilts and it give a nice puffy look.

Sounds like a plan. Thank you for continuing to do this!Originally Posted by paintmejudy

Beautiful, Judy! The cross hatching might have been too much...this is perfect. Wish we could see the whole quilt (hint, hint). Or maybe I missed that post.

Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for posting the picture of the whole quilt. So pretty, and the quilting really does enhance the quilt. :-) Thanks for this mystery, Judy!

Judy it is beautiful! I just love the colors in this and I really like how you have quilted it!
I am actually going to play with mine today! I had really fallen behind on a lot of my sewing orders! I mend so I can quilt! Hate it but it keeps the money rolling in and the quilts rolling out!
I had purchased enough fabric to make two of the quilts because I was in a hurry to start and found out I started the wrong one! But it is amazing how there are always babies being born! There is a baby girl due same time as the boy so decided to go forth and finish both!! I will put up some pictures when I get further along! They are looking quite Amish in the no print department but I think I like that and will back both with really cute fabric.
Since I rarely quilt with Flannel this will be somewhat of a challenge, but my bestie assures me using quilting starch helps with the pulling on the flannel!
Have a wonderful day ladies
