on a sailboat, perfect boat food - some crackers and sardines are fine, easy to carry and store. Hubs and I are lucky - we like the same yukky things! lots of onions and garlic, sardines, etc. sharet

Just a quick story about sardines....my darling husband one day added a can of them to mac and cheese. They stunk the house up so bad he took them outside for the cats, and they smelled them and began burying them....never laughed so hard in my life....His idea to add sardines came from me adding tuna to mac and cheese....we like that, but will avoid the sardines again! HAHA!

Love them. Smashum up with onion and spread it on saltines. Love anchovies, clams, smoked oysters, yummmmmm.

I love them. Have eaten them since I was a child. My DIL loves them too. She puts one on her favorite cracker and a (canned) roasted red pepper. MMmmmmmm.

Too salty. :thumbdown: I’ve seen recipes that say sardines taste better when they are cooked and will improve the flavor of the dish but I just haven’t been able to do this.

I'm not big on seafood even though I come from a famiily who loved it.
