Someone asked me to post a picture of my Yellow Brick Road. It's a king size made in blues, greens and purples. Many of the fabric have a metallic gold thread or pattern in them. It's folded into fourths because it's too big for one person to hold it up. Only arms to help were my hubby's! I'm posting three pictures; one of the folded quilt and two close ups. Not sure if the metallics are visible or not.

    If this posts twice, sorry.
What a beautiful quilt Karen. I still don't know if I want to try one of these. Some are having trouble, however, when I check on the pattern, it says "easy"!?!

When I made my version of YBR, I had not been quilting for very long and I had great fun doing it. I think you have to be comfortable with randomness and have a general colour scheme that you like.

    Here is mine.

I love yours. There's just something about blues and yellows together that is so pretty.

I agree about the randomness. I just saw a gorgeous quilt on Erica's (South Bend,IN quilt shop) Facebook page that was beautiful. It's labeled Blueberry Confetti. Very random browns and other neutrals.

I like this one very well. The quilt patterns are nice too especially the one on the border.
