I do get them and keep them and I now have a pile that is beginning to tilt !!!!!! and will be off the shelf very shortly.

I keep and keep and then I get in the mood...

I start with the oldest, page through, keep what might interest me......and then take them to friends...

    what they don't want......just gets the heave-ho.

I do like someone to take them and make some use of them and/or pass them on.......

My husband inadvertantly got rid of a stack of them. The rest are safe!

For a while I kept all of them. Then as they piled up and I saw that I wasn't using them, I put them together by years and donated them to the library for their annual book sale. I was told that they go like hotcakes.

I have since ceased all subscriptions. When I see something that catches my eye, I buy it.

I tear out the pattern that I might make and put them in sheet protectors in a binder. Then I pass along the magazines to friends who also quilt in case there are patterns that they might like still in them.

I am down to one magazine now for the very reason that I have kept them all and have only made one or two quilts out of them. I don't really know why I keep them either....I hope I'm not becoming a hoarder!

The ones that I dont need, I take into my quilting group, where they are sold for 50 cents each, and that in turn goes to buying new books for the club.

After reading this thread, I decided that it's time to clear off that shelf... could use the space for something else!!!!!

I started last evening, going through the mags and tagging the wanted patterns and/or information.

I guess I will have to go and buy a few more binders for these new clippings........

I do wish that there was a place for "gone over" magazines so that another could benefit from that also. any ideas?

Our library does not take them.......

How about the nearest LQS or even the dr's waiting room.
