Both are lovely. It's going to be a beautiful quilt but I'm leaning toward #1. I like the flow better to the center flower.

I find it easier to see and enjoy the pattern in the first block.

I agree with DogHouseMom. Had to look at it a few times to see why the first one was more pleasing to me, but it is because it opens the quilt up, in my eyes anyway.

I like the 2nd one, but after reading the posts, the 1st one does draw the eyes to the floral

OK I am

, read all the post so I went back to take another look. My first thought was #1 after looking again I liked the solid look of #2. So I will go with whatever you have deceided. Is that a cop out? They both look very pretty and you will have a beautiful quilt when finished. Main thing is you were able to get all the fabric you needed. Kudos to the clerk who remembered the fabric. I like them both, but I think I like the second one better. It seems to be more uniform or something. Can't quite put my finger on it. But, I love your choice of fabrics. Beautiful!
