I made this same tote to take to Hawaii with me Feb 2012. I used a remnant of Laurel Birch fabric, and did a "few" things different than the pattern suggested. I don't know if I have any photo's, but I may try and post one. I did get MANY compliments on mine, and it was the only "purse" I took.
    Have a great trip.

Love your tote but your model needs a higher pair of shoes and a different look to them lol.

Please post your pics. I'd love to get different ideas on this pattern for when I make another one. Has anyone ever used soft and stable instead of dura bond? I was wondering how that would look. I usually try to make a first project by the instructions, but think of other ways to do it while I'm constructing it. Thanks for all the complements, you sure made DHs day.

What fun you two must have! I have wanted to make that tote since January, and finally bought the pattern. Thanks for the inspiration.

The tote looks great, lots of places to keep things. I think it's cute that your DH wanted to model it for you - bet he likes it too.

Nice looking tote and it seems your husband is in spite of his goofing around that he is very proud of you and your accomplishments.
