I have this week off work. I'm cleaning the house today so I can get that out of the way then I WILL work on the current WIP. My goal is to get 33 blocks done (I have 15 completed). What is left is to sew the sections together for 9 blocks and make the HSTs for 24 blocks and get those sewn together.

As a matter of fact, I DID set a goal for myself for this week...and that is to work on, and possibly finish, the valance I have started for my new kitchen. All it is, is a table runner with a pocket on the back to hang on a rod. There is no pattern so I'm having to invent as I go. I worked all morning long on the quilting. Now I'm ready for the binding. Woohoo. Thanks for the extra incentive.

Part of goal accomplished: I got my baby quilt all pieced, pressed, backing, binding, and batting cut and ready to sandwich. Problem is there is no where to do it right now. I usually do it in sunporch with all windows open but it's 93 degrees and no way am I opening windows and shutting off AC. I"ve also done it out on deck--no way!! It's supposed to be like this til Friday and that's when I'm working. Hmm-hate to not complete my goal-maybe after dark I can figure out a way to work in sunporch.

My goals for this week are to finish the 2 quilt tops that I'm piecing now. #1:Double Sawtooth Star in plaids and shirting prints for DS. #2: Wickedly Easy Quilt from www.byannie.com
I'm adding the last 2 rows for DS's quilt top & the other top just needs rows sewn and borders(baby quilt). I'm off until Thursday. Hopefully the baby quilt top will be done so I can layer and baste at work on Thursday.

MY GOAL:
Iron the HUGE HUGE HUGE piles of fabrics sitting in baskets. They're recently purchased and have been washed and dried. I'm really tired of looking at the mess.
HOW WILL I MAKE IT HAPPEN?
Iron *at least* 30 minutes 2 times a day (longer if I have more time on days off).
My goal is to finish my heavy cleaning of my house and to finish a quilt I've been working on for a couple of weeks. Hope I can do it!!!

Finish this quilt (which shouldn't be too hard, just the binding left to go), and finish the top of my Grandma's birthday present wall hanging (or, fingers crossed, the whole thing). BTW, I'm loving this quilt frame my Mom found at a garage sale for me!
