    O K I confess I'm a perfectionist and I thought everyone else was perfect except me. It makes me feel good that everyone else is not perfect, so now I can relax and just enjoy my quilt's uniqueness.

    Also, I was told that the Amish purposely make a mistake in their quilts, because only God is perfect. Does anyone know if that is true or not?

    I'm from NJ...used to go to Lancaster alot...even lived there for a year, and yes, that's the same thing I remember hearing about the Amish deliberately making a mistake in their quilts because only God is perfect. :thumbup:

    Think how boring it would be to be perfect. It would be too stressful trying to maintain it also. I'm glad I'm not the only one having brain farts today!

    You young kids ......... I passed 25 = 1/4 century
    50 = l/2 century
    75 = 3/4 century
    78 and counting --
    I AM GOING TO MAKE IT TO 100 = century
    if I don't make too many more mistakes!
    And if I make a few mistakes, it is not like I haven't mistepped before. That's how you know when you have done something worthwhile.

    Yes! Had I done that I would not be taking blocks apart as I write! 4" looks very much the same as 4 1/4 when you are piecing!

    Too funny! I love it!
