great job. that is the age my grandaughter made her first quilt and she worried over it ,much more than i did.. it took her four days with the squares layed out in the middle of my living rm floor before she was satisfied and started sewing. like you i cut, pinned and helped with the binding..but she loves it and still puts in on her bed/../// she is now 9 years old and just put it in a quilt show..she has a ribbon from the show (all kids get one but she is "proud as punch" tell her to keep up the good work. see if you can't find a local quilt show that allows kids to show along side of the adults...she will learn much and love it..
