I use a regular office chair. The small one with no arms. They sell a back support at Dollar Tree that helps.

I'm all for a rolling office chair.
My sewing room has Pergo flooring and a rolling chair is perfect.
Like others, I went to Office Depot and sat in every chair until I found the one that was most comfortable to me.
    (An arm-less rolling fully-adjustable chair)

I nearly choked when I saw the price..
All I could think was that there was no way I would pay that much for a sewing chair.
However, my husband was an excellent voice of reason.
He pointed out that if I wasn't comfortable, I would not enjoy sewing/quilting as much.
I have never regretted buying that chair!

In this case, he was right.
...but don't tell him I said that. ;)

I have a rolling dinning table chair. I love the rolling and I keep a lumbar back support pillow for when I need to. I also get up alot and do back and neck stretches since I have a genetic back disase and it wants to fuse in the wrong direction. The back stretches are a must for me.

I want one of those secretary chairs, wheels and adjustable back and cushioned without arm rests -- several on QB have said that they like that type of chair -- sitting and sewing in an uncomfortable chair isn't neat

Office chair with arms and the back is mesh which is nice since my sewing room can get rather warm with all the lights on.

My sister is getting a Horn Chair for her remodled sewing room. She said it was very comfortable. She is about 5'4". She lives in Agusta and was able to try them out. She had been using a folding chair.

I have severe neck and back pain. Just had neck surgery last week. I sew at Dining Room table and used to use dining room chairs which totally stunk for maintaining better posture. Just bought a new lumbar support office chair from Target for $59.99 a few weeks ago. The chair allows me to sit all the way back in the chair and use the lumbar support and also adjust the height so I am not straining my neck muscles as much. this new chair is working much better for me and I can't figure out why it took me 5 years to think about buying it until I was in so much pain I had to have surgery. How dumb is that? Wish I would have joined this board sooner and would have thought about getting a new chair a lot sooner.
