I also would limit it to $2.00, maybe $2.50,,but I don't usually get just FQ'. Those willing to pay $6.50 must live in a country where the fabric goes for nearly $30.00/meter.
That thought always makes me not complain about our prices.

Folks in countries with Universal Health Care pay for it through their daily purchases I'm afraid.

Around here FQs go for $3.00 each. I have paid $4 to$5 for some coming from Japan and even more for really special ones, such as Heather Ross or Katie Jump Rope by Denyse Schmidt.

Holy Cow!! Where is that at!?!? Those are crazy prices.
Same here! Nothing goes under $ 4 not even on the Dutch Marketplace auctionsite. I never buy a FQ for that reason, it's too expensive and I only go to the not so LQS if I can't find what I need elsewhere.

Some are at $6.50 and bidding isn't over yet!
That's $26 a yard! Do the people bidding know what a fat quarter is???

Here in the U.K. fat quarters are around £2.50p each. I rarely buy them, but buy fabric from the states. Next week I go to The National Patchwork Championships at Sandown Park(nr. London) I will buy quite a lot of fabric there as it will be good value. I would absolutly love to be able to but an original feed sack. :-)

I pay $2.75 or $2.95 at my LQS. I wouldn't pay more than that. I found the inexpensive ones at the stores are cheap fabric. I learned my lesson after making a few runners. They don't feel as good as the better quality ones.

I bought 40 of them at my LQS for a quilt when they had them on clearance for $1.00! I was so thrilled. Saved me tons of money!

You can buy them cheaper than eBay on www.fatquartershop.com.

I agree with $2. I guess some people have more money than they know what to do with.
