I asked what CANDLEQUILTER QUILTS was but no one has answered---reading thru these messages I can see that Candlequilter is someone's Avatar---and you all are making blocks to send to her for Charity quitls????

She made a pattern for a Star which I loved the instant I saw it. I wrote and asked her if I could have the pattern.
She said she is making charity quilts and will give the pattern if anyone is willing to make a block for her.
Of the 3, one is Red White and Blue. One quilt has Fall Colors, and the other has Summery Colors.
I am making a Dresden Plate with the S. Colors.
Bet is you pm her she will be glad to hear from her.
    Good luck!

She initially told me to make one for whatever I wanted. I wanted to do the most good with making one, so told her to let me know what one she needed blocks for the most. That is how ended up with the S.Colors.

Yes, that's right. Candlequilter made a paperpieced star block that is absolutely gorgeous, and posted a picture on the board, and almost everyone on the Quilter's Board that saw it wanted the pattern. Candlequilter put together a pattern and tutorial, and rather than selling it (since it was her own personal design), she said that she would forward the pattern to anyone who agreed to make a block within one of three colorways and send it to her for some charity quilts she is making. I guess that's it in a nutshell. I will look up the original posting and repost the link here. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-118617-1.htm and also http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-119594-1.htm C9P

Holy cow! If that is what your beginner skills look like, you are going to put us all to shame with your advanced skills. It looks perfect.
