I'm sure the lady who made that quilt is looking down and smiling at you.

You have a wonderful idea with the "Adopt a Quilt" (feel free to use it, if you want). I know I would love to adopt one and would even go to $20 plus S&H.
You are a kind soul, with a smile in your heart, and God looking down on you with pride!!
Why don't you start a list and I would like my name on it too.

Thanks again for making my day!!

Thank you, Carol. :) As I find quilts I'm going to post them in the Classifieds section. That's the only fair way I can think of doing it that way if it's a pattern that someone doesn't like or a size they can't use then they can pass on it and let another adoptive parent have a shot at it.

I buy the contents of abandoned storage units and I have many adopted quilts. I have had to repair or finish many of them and they made great gifts. I would love to adopt more.

A fun part of finishing a paper piece adopted quilt, is reading the 1930's news. I save as much of the paper as I can, an put it in a plastic sleeve on the back of the quilt, to authenticate the quilt.
