    Beautiful quilt..like "Madquilter" said continue pattern on sides only and add a floral binding !!

    Absolutely you can add different width borders wherever you want, I do it alla time. Ain't no quilt police here to say otherwise! I've often added wider borders to the sides to bring the quilt to desired dimensions. I love to do quilts for kids that are out-of-square, like adding 2" borders to the top and on one side and 5" borders to the bottom and the other side.

    It's beautiful. If you have closely looked at antique quilts, they have borders only on one side, because that's the side that would be seen, top borders are narrow than the bottom or vice versa. It's your quilt - your rules. I might try adding just to the side borders.

    WOW is right, really beautiful! Love the colors....and it actually fits on your bed. Great going for first quilt...or 100th!
